Description
This is a Lake Superior and Mississippi River Railroad 1869 book/annual report that explains their offering of seven percent first class gold bonds for a total offering of $4.5 million. The railroad was first established in 1861, and would become the St Paul and Duluth Railroad; later absorbed into the Northern Pacific. Inside the front cover is a beautiful, original, colored route map showing the LS and MR route, along with the regions other railroads. Samples of the bonds are pictured. Has 35 total pages. Front cover has separated from the booklet, and the covers have tears and frays, but the pages are in nice condition. An item any Northern Pacific fan will definitely want to add to their collection!
