Offered here for your consideration are a Dalton point and a Besant knife with certificates. These finely worked lithics include a Dalton point fashioned of Sonora chert into a knife form. Its date of manufacture has been attributed to 9500 B.C. to 8500 B.C. and it is an example of the Dalton Complex of the Early Archaic Period. The Besant Knife is crafted from Knife River Flint and was discovered in Stark County, North Dakota. This knife is attributed to the period of A.D. 1 to A.D. 800.
