Description
Offered here for your consideration is an early 1900s Acoma Olla. This large pot is elaborately decorated in eye catching black, white and red designs. Ollas originated as unglazed, undecorated pottery that were porous and could be "planted" in the ground and filled with water thereby providing water to neighboring plants. The olla offered here was not used but is an adaptation of the form for the tourist trade and decoration. Add this stunningly decorated olla to your collction!
