Five Georgian snuff/ stamp boxes by Samuel Pemberton (Birmingham, reg. 1775), all with hallmarks denoting Birmingham, Georgian duty mark, date letters and sterling standard as well as "SP" makers mark, details include: largest oblong box with hinged lid, "R" for 1789, bright cut shield and ribbon design to cover; oval shaped box with 3/4 hinged lid, "Y" for 1796, worn shield design to cover; small round box with cover, "c" for 1800, incised wreath border to top; oval form box with "e" for 1802, diamond form center design to cover with spandrels; and largest a round box with "s" for 1816 featuring multiple geometric and foliate borders and monogrammed "MC" at center, all pieces with wear consistent with age and use, largest: 1 1/4" diam.
