This is an absolutely magnificent antique set of 2 flow blue Rimmed Soup Plate.
The plates are fine example of the early pieces made by Doulton Burslem Pottery in England.
The plates are in the Persian Spray pattern.
They is beautifully decorated with blue and golden bowls.
The plates are marked with Doulton Burslem impressed and printed stamp that dates it between 1882 and 1902.
Each plate is hand pained/decorated individually, so there is some slight differences.
The plates are approx. 10 3/4" in diameter at the rim and 1 3/4" deep.
The set is in good antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
There are some crazing that is consistent with its age and normal use or/and some dark spots and manufacturing defects like bubbles under the glaze and missing paint. The dark spots can be clean with bleach or dental cleaning products
They are great display pieces
A great example of the popular Victorian style.
