Description
FRANK WILLS (1948-2000) Security guard best known for his role in foiling the June 17, 1972, break-in at the Democratic National Committee inside the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C. Then 24, Wills, thinking quickly and because he was unarmed, called the D.C. police after discovering that locks at the complex had been tampered with. Five men were arrested, triggering the Watergate scandal. Uncommon signature on a sheet taken from his booklet 'The Watergate Hero, An Eyewitness Report by Frank Wills, The Guard Who Discovered the Watergate Break-in' (1973), shows Wills at one of the doors he discovered, boldly signed at the top left. Very good.
