I receive inspiration from the beauty that surrounds me. I love to take my easel outdoors and paint directly from my environment, but I also enjoy the solitude of studio painting where many of my outdoor studies become larger paintings. While the outdoors provides the freshness and vitality of the first response, the studio is the place to extend that first expression and make it something new and even more interesting.
