Potted unto a slightly flattened round box, with rounded wide cavetto, correspondence dome lid, raised from rounded sides over a wide cavetto Inner flange circumscribed around the containers lip allows for a perfect fitment on the each rim. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in yellow base color which contrast against blue and white color, depicted of many flying cranes through cumulus clouds and vapors. The crane symbolizes longevity as well as wisdom. An embroidery of a crane formed part of the regalia of the top rank of Imperial officials, so can symbolize the wish for promotion to a high official position. A crane is often portrayed with a tortoise longevity or a deer longevity and riches. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
