Originally listed at $400...

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built pottery figure seated beneath a broad cloak or blanket patterned with diamonds in white, red, and orange hues. Behind the blanket are the figure's limbs, and above is an elongated head complete with discoid earspools and a vertically-striped headband. Size: 2.5" L x 3.9" W x 5.6" H (6.4 cm x 9.9 cm x 14.2 cm)

Provenance: private Ferndale, Michigan, USA collection; ex-private Detroit, Michigan, USA collection, acquired prior to 2004

Possible restoration and overpainting to head and face. Light earthen deposits, with light fading to original pigment in scattered areas, otherwise in great condition. Nice preservation to figural form. Previous inventory label within interior.
