Description
I do not think it is possible to ask for a more exquisite rose pin.
Made in the 1930-1940 era, the celluloid construction of this pin is a unique old fashion hand crafted method and was most likely made in England.
The brooch was not a mold made but rather, each piece was mold made, hand painted, hand shaped and polished, then the pieces were put together, layer after layer. This process is very similar to the way in which English porcelain jewelry was constructed. The roses are in perfect bloom in light pink with deep rose centers. The leaves are pale light green with ivory branches in the background.
Medium large in size, the brooch is 2 1/2" long x 1 1/4" wide or 64 mm x 38 mm. The celluloid is in perfect pristine like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There is no fading, chips, cracks, or repairs. The celluloid is microscopically clean and bright. The brooch is not signed and the back has the original fine working safety clasp.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
