A group of seventy-seven blue glazed composition tiles, each a plaque with remains or outline of a raised rectangle to the reverse, vertically perforated for attachment. This form of faience tile-decoration was invented by Imhotep, the reknown architect of king Djoser (Netjri-khet) to cover some of the walls of the substructures of the Step Pyramid and the so-called " South Tomb ".
