A SIGNED WAKIZASHI IN SHIRASAYA, KANEI ERA
Japan, Kanei era (1624-1644)
Shinogi-zukuri with iori mune, the hamon is notare in nioi-deki, the hada is mokume. The habaki is of copper with regular vertical ridges. The nakago with one mekugi-ana, the tip is iriyamagate, the mei reads UMETADA TOMOHISA to one side and KANEI NI HACHI GATSU NICHI.
NAGASA 32 cm, LENGTH 53.2 cm (the shirasaya)
Condition: Very good condition, the blade with minor wear and fukure. The shirasaya of very good condition with minor wear.
