Description
2 Chinese 19th Century Famille Rose Enameled Porcelains; a Plate with Auspicious Objects to surface including Elephant with Vase, Official's Hat in Clouds, the base with 6 character Daoguang seal mark in iron red and of the period; together with a Brush Pot well painted with a Successful Boy riding 1 of 3 Rams (san yang kai tai) with Family Boys Celebrating, the base with 6 character Qianlong seal mark. Diameter of plate 8 7/8 inches (22.5 cm.).
Condition
The plate with light age related wear to enamels with 2 small flakes to top edge held in place with clear tape with small glaze losses; the brush pot cracked, chipped and re-stuck with porcelain and glaze losses, some with infill.
