Sandy Koufax Original Press Photograph, PSA Type I

A black and white press photo of Sandy Koufax as pitching coach for the LA Dodgers during the 1979 season, no place, dated March 10, 1979. Features docketing in red pencil and associated newspaper clipping mounted on verso. The photograph, measuring 8" x 10", has been encapsulated by PSA/DNA to the overall size of 9.75" x 13.25", receiving a designation of Type I. Exhibits expected areas of edge soiling and surface creasing, not materially affecting the image. Else, Very good.

In 1979, Koufax was hired by the Dodgers to be a minor league pitching coach in their farm system, a position he held until resigning in 1990.
