Description
'The Prodigal Son amid the Swine' heliogravure on laid paper from 'The Portfolio' by master engraver Charles Amand-Durand (1831-1905) after Albrecht D?rer (1471-1528) . The 'Portfolio' watermark can be seen in the lower potion of the paper when held to the light. This piece appears to have been bound at some point. Paper: H 12-7/8" W 10". Plate: H 10-1/2 W 8". Frame: H 16-3/8" W 13-1/4". Estate of Thomas and Stephany Haines-Forsyth Wickes. Condition: Good condition. Staining on paper from old tape adhesive. Discoloration around image from light exposure. Small areas of foxing on back. Some loss along the binding edge. Please refer to images for condition.
