Antique Set of 6 Doulton Burslem Harry G Theaker Porcelain Dessert Plates. These Doulton Burslem Plates are in Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks or stains. These are early 20th c. wih the embossed floral rims and gold gilt detailing. They measure 8 3/4 inches in diameter. Each is backstamped as pictured and signed with the artist initials of "HGT" which stood for artist Harry G Theaker. Harry G. Theaker was an illustrator, designer, painter and teacher, born in Wolstanton, Staffordshire, son of George Theaker, headmaster of Burslem School of Art. Apprenticed to the Doulton pottery as a painter, Harry attended the Burslem School. All 6 plates for one bid. See pictures for complete condition and description.
