Very unusual late Meiji period (1890s to 1912) Japanese solid silver kushi (hair comb) with lacquer and mother of pearl decoration of a boat under a weeping willow tree, design continuing onto the back. Superbly made, extraordinary fine lacquering and inlays, wonderful work in Japanese taste, in excellent condition. Length 3.66 inches.
