Description
An antique bronze bust of the surgeon Ambroise Pare by the French sculptor Emile Pinedo, 1840 to 1916. The face is turned in three quarters and depicts a man with a serious expression. On the back there is a signature of the artist of the work, Pinedo. The name of the doctor Ambroise Pare is engraved on the stand. The work is complemented by a granite slab pedestal. Ambroise Pare, ca. 1510 to 1590 French surgeon, considered one of the fathers of modern medicine. Known as the inventor of surgical instruments and prostheses.
