Exceptional early Chinese export lacquer decorated sewing table or stand which has a fitted interior containing numerous original carved bone sewing implements. The exterior is covered with gilt decorations of Asian figures in various settings. The carved bone sewing implements are extensive and all appear to be in excellent condition hardly if ever used. The stand itself is also in exceptional condition, aside from the fabric fringe bag underneath has detoration of silk netting due to age.
