Description
Bank cast to represent "Little Fat Man" Boss William Macy Tweed, the politician controlling New York politics in the 1860s and 70's. Macy was jailed in 1873 for two years for corruption. All original cast iron bank where a kids change is put in the man's hand and then "pocketed" into storage. A counterweight and precise balance is used for the mechanics; Boss' head nods in appreciation. Tammany Bank cast into two sides. Red and cream hand painted armchair. Boss has dark grey-brown paints with dark navy jacket and yellow button up. 2.75" wide and 5.75" high approximately.
