This folio atlas volume is Georges Henri Victor Collot's A Journey in North America, containing a survey of the countries watered by the Mississipi, Ohio, Missouri, and other affluing rivers; with exact observations on the course and soundings of these rivers; and on the towns, villages, hamlets and farms of that part of the New-world; followed by philosophical, political, military and commercial remarks and by a projected line of frontiers and general limits. This is considered the facsimile edition of the work which was published by O. Lange in Florence in 1924.

The volume is bound into 1/2 brown leather and brown decorative paper covered boards with gilt spine lettering. This is volume 3, the atlas volume only. It includes 36 maps (23 to 22 leaves, 11 folding, 11 plates, and 3 plans). This is considered the facsimile edition done by O. Lange in Florence in 1924. The original work was printed in 1804 but published in 1826 but almost all but 400 copies of this first publication were intentionally destroyed. It was one of the most important accounts of exploration on the Ohio, Missouri, and Mississippi in the early 1800s.
