Henri Jannin (1839) printed covers for sheet music, scenes of current events, portraits of personalities, games such as the "Flower Marriage Game" (1847), a card game for which he drew inspiration from the illustrations in Grandville's "Animated Flowers", or the "Rubicon Game", a billiard table. L'Assaut, also called Citadelle, Assault Game or Citadel Game appeared in France in the 18th century, and is descended from a Scandinavian game of the 14th century. The game board is based on the game The Fox and the Hens , the subject is the War of Crimea fought from October 1853 to February 1856 ( France was part of the coalition ) , game illustrated by H Rousseau , pieces in good condition , complete with some replacement pawn , some stain and usure on the cover . It is signed as a gift in the back with the date of 1858 .
