Egyptian Revival Parlor Suite Attributed to Pottier & Stymus. Comprising a settee, armchair, and four parlor chairs; carved and engraved frames with parcel-gilt trim, classical style bronze portrait plaques to backs, gilt bronze roundels to arm termini, later voided red and green on cream floral pattern upholstery; all pieces on casters. Second half 19th century. {Approximate dimensions: Settee 43" high x 78" wide x 34" deep, armchair 33" high x 26" wide x 26" deep, chairs 36" high x 21" wide x 24" deep.}. Condition: Overall wear is good considering age. Loss to two portrait plaques. Minor chips to edges and corners. Repaired crack to back of settee. Some rubbing and wear to gilt.
