EIGHT 19TH CENTURY SOUTHERN U.S. BUTTONS
American, 19th century. Eight (8) assorted buttons consisting of a dug Texas or Confederate 20mm C button; a Confederate Infantry southern "I" button with plain back; a Confederate Artillery southern "A" button with plain back; two (2) Federal Eagle "Regt" buttons made by J. Delarue of New Orleans; a Confederate Staff Officers eagle button with black back; an Alabama State Map button; and a Georgia state seal button. Piece of larger cloth attached is a Horstmann button, the smaller piece of cloth attached is a Jacob Reeds Sons button.

From the Collection of John F. Bradbury, Jr., longtime archivist and director of the State Historical Society of Missouri?s Rolla Research Center in Phelps County. John was a historian specializing in the Civil War period with a dedicated and distinguished career to studying and promoting the history of the Missouri Ozarks region.
