An impressive Barr, Flight and Barr Worcester vase, circa 1810Of classical form, with two imposing gilt eagle handles, probably painted by Samuel Smith with a large titled view of 'Blarney Castle, Cork', dappled light illuminating the castle and a couple conversing in the foreground, reserved on a fine blue marble ground heightened with gold, the foot raised on a gilt square plinth base, 35.5cm high, title and script mark in redFootnotes:ProvenanceCharles Dawson CollectionIllustrated by Charles Dawson, Worcester Flight & Barr Porcelain (2023), p.126, fig.11.13. The source for the large panel is from an engraving by Samuel Alken published in 1796, after the Irish artist Thomas Sautelle Roberts.
