An early 20th century French brass repeating grande sonnerie carriage clockGeorges LamailleThe 2 1/2 inch rectangular dial with Roman numerals, the twin train movement striking on two gongs, the rear plate engraved with 'G.L' in an oval cartouche and '840', the bottom plate of the set with a lever with engraved positions' Hours and Quarter', 'Silent', 'Quarters only', contained with a brass case with bevelled glass plates and swing handle, with its leather covered traveling case, 9cm wide, 8cm deep, 14.5cm high, (3 1/2in wide 3in deep, 5 1/2in high)

Knocks marks and scratches overall consistent with age

-very slight nibble front glass top left and bottom left
-some oil marks to the rear plate
-silvering on escapement a little discoloured
-hold power and runs but is untested
