Spanning from the 6th to the 9th century AD, this elongated Byzantine glass pilgrim flask showcases the rich cultural exchange within the Byzantine Empire. The elongated shape and dark color interspersed with purples and blues are characteristic of the period's glassware, likely influenced by the trade routes connecting the Byzantine to distant lands. Pilgrims often carried such flasks to hold holy water or oil from sacred sites.

Provenance: Part of the G.H. collection in Istanbul since the 1960s. Later, part of Mr. M.E.'s collection in Rome, Italy, acquired in the mid-1990s.

8. No Returns/Exchanges: All sales are final. Refunds in exceptional cases won't include DHL shipping charges.
