After Alexander Calder, woven jute tapestry/rug depicting intertwining serpents / snakes, circa 1975, bearing label, handmade in Guatemala - possibly C.A.C. Publications, with hanging loops verso. When Calder first moved to Paris in 1926, he began creating his Cirque Calder and continued to explore his invention of wire sculpture, whereby he "drew" with wire in three dimensions (from the Calder Foundation). From an Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY residence. [85 x 56 approx.].
