** Swedish Mauser M/1896 with Aftermarket Target Sights

6.5x55mm. 29.1" barrel length. SN: HK430341. Blued metal finish with polished bolt in a straight wrist wood stock with finger grooves and half length upper handguard. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine. Item shows the standard Swedish manufacturer markings to the receiver reading CARL GUSTAFS STADS/GEVARSFAKTORI./1917, and shows Swedish crown inspection markings to the original components. The butt retains the brass stock disk, and blued steel buttplate. Rear sight leaf has been removed, leaving the Swedish inspected spring sitting in the original sight base. The receiver has been cut for a dovetail mount containing an adjustable rear aperture ELITE 101 sight that is marked Swiss Made on one adjustment knob. This is paired with a front tunnel sight that clamps over the original front sight. Bolt serial numbers match the receiver, but the magazine floorplate does not.

Condition
Good. Bore is Minty with crisp rifling throughout. The polished finish to the bolt and internals is strong, with some cycling wear and spots of gray patina forming over the bolt knob. Blued finish displays some light scratches, with brown patina forming in losses on top of the barrel and the barrel band. The muzzle shows a rim of patina at the seam of the barrel and front sight mount. Wood furniture shows handling wear, mars, dings, and dents overall, with some chipping on the edges.
