Description
Staffordshire or Shropshire, England circa 1755, the compressed body decorated with relief moulded designs of trailing flowering vines, showing a pronounced gooseneck spout and a handle featuring a bird shaped finial, the lid with a turned finial, early staple conservation to the lip of spout, chips to the rim and rim of lid. Measuring 6" high x 9" wide from spout to handle. Ref: The Henry Weldon Collection of English Pottery 1650-1800 by Leslie Grigsby.
