John David Farmer (born 1939) is an American art historian and museum administrator. In 1967-1969 he was a curator of Germanic Art in Busch-Reisinger Museum, Harvard, and in 1969-1972, curator of earlier painting in Art Institute Chicago. He is credited with organizing the travel exhibition "German Master Drawings of the Nineteenth Century."
