AD 100-200.A silver bracelet composed of a smooth and tapering shank, coiled wire around the shoulders, and an affixed circular recessed frame set with a gold plaque with a low relief depiction of goddess Cybele / Ceres. Cybele was a goddess of nature, fertility, and the divine balance and harmony of the universe. She was revered as the Great Mother, or “Magna Mater”. Size: 110mm x 90mm; Weight: 295g Provenance: Private London collection; British art market 1990s.
