Collection of 4 ancient Egyptian ushabtis and accompanying material including: 1.) Terracotta ushabti measuring 5" in height from the 18th dynasty. Shabti presents natural surface and shows incised hieroglyphics . Shabti is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from H. Ismail El Shaer, Cairo dated April 16, 1962. 2.) Limestone (with dark green patina) ushabti measuring 5.25" in height from the 12th dynasty. Shabti presents patinaed surface and shows incised hieroglyphics . Shabti is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from H. Ismail El Shaer, Cairo dated April 16, 1962. 3.) Faience ushabti measuring 3.75" in height from post the 20th dynasty. Shabti presents plain faience surface. Shabti exhibits loss to feet and chip. 4.) Faience ushabti measuring 4.5" in height from post 20th dynasty. Shabti presents faience surface and shows added hieroglyphics in black paint (some loss to paint) . Shabti is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from H. Ismail El Shaer, Cairo dated April 16, 1962 stating that shabti was found near mummy near the Gessa Pyramid. 5.) Small pottery scarab (5/8") attached to 3" x 5" card with title "God Kheperi". Scarab dates from 30th Dynasty (750BC) and features text on card "Baltimore, John Hopkins Hosp. Harriet Lane 1948" and "From Gilbert & Raina/Brahim. The American University, Cairo, Egypt". 6.) Christmas card from sender/receiver of item #5 dated 1948.
