With information verso from the Persian Antique Gallery stating, "Two leaves from the manuscript of Khamsa Namah by the famous poet Nezami. Persia Early 16th Century This manuscript was written by the famous calligrapher Mir Ali. He was the head librarian of Shah Ismail. Very fine writing and with beautiful illumination borders, the reverse side is similarly written and illuminated". From a Sutton Place South, Manhattan estate. Dimensions: frame measures approx. 17.25" h x 21.5" w; sight measures approx. 10.25" h x 6.375" w.
