Description
The long, low tiger maple box with hinged lid, a brass handle at each end, outset mahogany base and four interesting bun feet made of iron is, judging by the lock, hinges, patina and other features, circa third quarter of the 19th century. The Tiger Maple woods are exceptionally in their figuring and the patina is outstanding, resulting a very warm honey glow.
