Condition
The armor has noticeable signs of wear such as tears, rips and areas where the silk has become threadbare. The gilt metal fittings show some wear to the gilding and oxidation, and the iron has small losses, cracking, and misshapen areas. The interior of the face mask shows chips, cracks, and losses to red lacquer. The accompanying box has heavy wear to the lacquered wood, including losses, cracks, indentations, and older worm holes. The iron hardware on the box shows oxidation and losses, but the box remains structurally sound. The dimensions of the box are 22 x 16 x 17 inches. Includes a aftermarket steel base.
