East Of Eden was the only James Dean film where he played the lead that was released during his lifetime. It is clearly evidenced by this Lobby Card which exhibits Dean's personal autograph on the upper border in pencil.

This signed unrestored lobby card has pinholes in all four corners, as well as a few in the upper right and left borders, some edge, and corner crimping and creasing, plus light sporadic smudging and minor creasing in the border areas. There is also a one-inch tear in the upper center border that does not go into the image that is backed on the verso with archival tape and while there is writing on the verso there is only light bleed through on one small single-letter spot on the border with the rest undetectable. The Image itself is very clean and so is James Dean's autograph is in pencil on the upper center border.

Directed by influential filmmaker Elia Kazan and starring James Dean in his first leading role, East of Eden set in 1917 during World War I, is loosely based on the biblical story of Cain and Abel.
