Chinese Blue Underglaze on Yellow-Ground Porcelain Charger, Xuande Mark - a large porcelain charger bowl with underglaze blue decoration on a yellow glazed ground. The bowl features a central depiction of two birds on a fruit tree with a border of fruit and florals along the interior rim. Foliate scrolls on the exterior rim and a six-character Xuande mark in underglaze blue just below the exterior rim edge. Orange peel underside with two age paper collection labels. 16 1/4" diameter. Condition: No cracks or chips, rim edge may have some later yellow pigment added.
