Arthur Boris Klein (aka Boris O'Klein) (French, Russian born, 1893-1985). 5 etchings - (1) "Reviens Chouquette?" (2) "Eternels Ennemis!" (3) "Chacun Son Tour!" (4) "Tu Viens Beau Blond" (5) "A La Queue!" ca. 1930s. All hand signed and titled in pencil below the images. An entertaining ensemble of five hand-colored etchings by French artist and cartoonist Arthur Boris O'Klein. Each composition depicts a group of dogs getting into all sorts of mischief. This series is generally known as "The Naughty Dogs" or "The Dirty Dogs" or "The Dirty Dogs of Paris". A lively group of hand-signed and titled etchings, all mounted under glass in matching frames. Size (sight views): 7.125" L x 17.75" W (18.1 cm x 45.1 cm) Size (frames): 22.125" L x 11.5" W (56.2 cm x 29.2 cm)

Boris O?Klein immigrated to France from Russia with his family when he was a young boy. He settled in Paris after World War I and became a prolific artist. O'Klein is best known for his humorous watercolors and etchings of silly pups getting into trouble.

Condition
All five etchings are hand signed and titled in pencil below the images. All are mounted under glass in custom, matching frames. Etchings not examined outside the frames but appear in good vintage condition. Normal scuffs/nicks to frames commensurate with age. All fit with suspension wires.
