Jacqueline Rice (American, 20th/21st C.) Art Pottery. Unsigned. Size: 16'' x 15.5'' x 1.5'' (41 x 39 x 4 cm).Provenance: The Robert L. Pfannebecker Collection. Artist Biography: Jacquelyn "Jackie" Rice was born in 1941 in Orange, CA. She received her B.F.A. and M.F.A. in ceramics from the University of Washington, Seattle, studying under Howard Kottler. Rice was a longtime faculty member at the Rhode Island School of Design, where she first taught ceramics and later became head of the Ceramics department and dean of Fine Arts. Her work is held in the collection of the American Art Museum, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.
