Japanese, 19th century. A red lacquered kyokuroku chair, having a horseshoe shaped crest with button terminals, giltwood shaped splat with leather seat, rising on folding legs, decorative brass mounts overall; ht. 41, wd. 32, dp. 24 inches. Overall good condition with minimal lacquer loss. Minor touch up to lacquer along crest and legs. Minor loss or breaks to the brass mount design throughout. Provenance: Property from the estate collection of John D. Schofield, Newnan, Georgia
