Description
An assortment of photographs of an Austrian Jewish family including from a displaced refugee camp after World War II and arrival at the port of Tel Aviv, second half of the 1940s. The photographs show, among other things, family members on both sides (the grandparents of the owners of the photographs), group photographs from the refugee camp while working in the field, a photograph of the writer's mother as a child in the camp. Also an interesting photo of a gathering with an inscription emblazoned on top of it 'It is good to die for our country...the guard of Israel will neither slumber nor sleep'. The photographs are in different formats, some of them are attached to Hebrew flipchart paper with handwritten captions. The large photo is postcard size 14x9 cm. Reasonable wear to some.
