A large Chelsea Clock Co. brass ships wheel clock
early 20th century
The 10 inch silvered dial with Arabic numerals, having slow/fast adjuster below 12, inscribed CHELSEA CLOCK CO., BOSTON, U.S.A. and SHIP'S BELL, movement numbered 181788 and 38873, with further factory stamp, stamped to the underside 14.

Condition
General wear, marks, nicks, and scratches. Some oxidation and surface scratches to brass. Metal polish residue in crevices. Crack to front corner of wood plinth and scattered nicks and dings overall. Areas of toning and discoloration to face.
Currently maintaining power and striking on the hour and half hour.
The silvered dial with some loss to silvering and what appear to be some smudged fingerprints, and two screws massing from the outer ring. With additional bolts lacking.
The brass case with cleaning residue evident in numerous areas, and heavy wear showing white metal to front and sides see if case, one bolt missing to upper back of case. The wooden back and plinth numerous dings dents and surface scratches with a crack to the right side of plinth. Glass a little loose in bezel. Working condition not guaranteed.
