Candle-Lightin Time. Paul Laurence Dunbar. 1st edition later issue. New York: Dodd Mead and Company, 1908.
Pictorial gilt cloth. One of this famed African American poet's most popular works. Illustrated with photographs by the Hampton Institute Camera Club and decorations by Margaret Armstrong. In color with period photo gravures. Dunbar was born in Dayton, Ohio, in 1864, and was the first truly famous black poet in America. His first book _The Rare Oak and Ivy_ is considered a treasure.
