Description
Chinese Carved Cup, Saucer and Chopsticks, probably Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) in date, represents the exquisite artistry of jade craftsmen who patiently shaped them, using an abrasive process. These pieces are so thin the owner can actually see his/her hand when holding them. The foot rim of the cup is carefully tinted a peach color. When filled with tea, the liquid would add an additional warm color to the transparent form. Cup apprx 2"T x 3-3/4"D, chopsticks apprx 8"L. From the collection of Juliane and Philip Lynch, Shaker Heights, Ohio.
