A George II burr walnut and walnut concertina-action card table
Circa 1735
The shaped hinged top with projecting ears enclosing a baize lined playing surface with circular dished angles interspersed with four sunken playing counter wells, above one short frieze drawer with a shaped scallop shell, scroll and acanthus carved apron below, on rocaille headed and scallop shell clasped cabriole legs, terminating in claw and ball feet, the carving to the centre of the frieze possibly of a later date, approximately: 87cm wide x 44cm deep x 73.5cm high, (34in wide x 17in deep x 28 1/2in high)
