An album with 58 photographs documenting a trip from England/Scotland to Norway and Sweden via the S.S. Arcadian and S.S. Oscar II in 1914. Approx. 6.5 x 4 cm - 18 x 13.5 cm. Many nature, city, and rural views, often with locals, plus many views of German battleships ('Helgoland" and others), and more. Photos printed on thick paper, 2 mounted, all captioned, with tissue guards, sheets paginated by hand. Small folio. Half red morocco over marbled paper boards, upper detached. Spine with 5 raised bands, gilt lettering in compartments 2 and 3, remaining with gilt motifs. Marbled pasted and free endpapers. Top edges gilt. Photos in generally very good condition; album with upper detached, lower joint broken. * SCOTLAND. An album with 12 photographs. Approx. 13.5 x 20.5 cm. Views of Edinburgh, Loch Katrine, Stirling Castle, Abbotsford, various abbeys, etc. Mounted to stiff cardstock, captioned, numbered. Small oblong quarto. Full red cloth boards. Upper with black framing and gilt lettering, lower with same framing in blind. Beveled edges. All edges gilt. * Spooner, W.M. & Co. (London). PHOTOGRAPHS OF LONDON. Circa 1830s-50s. 26 photographs. Views include parliament, new law courts, horseguards, crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Blackfriars and London bridges, busy Oxford street, Trafalgar Square, Royal Exchange, Bank of England, Windsor Castle, Tower of London, St. Paul's. Prints mounted, captioned, numbered. Binding: large 8vo. Full red cloth boards; upper debossed in gilt, lower in blind. Beveled edges. Black endpapers, front free endpaper lacking.
