Item/Description: Coin medal medallion commemorating The Flying Horse of Gansu (also known as the Bronze Running Horse or the Galloping Horse Treading on a Flying Swallow) is a perfectly balanced Chinese bronze sculpture from circa the 2nd century CE. Discovered in 1969 near the city of Wuwei, in the province of Gansu, it is now in the Gansu Provincial Museum.
Obverse side is an image of the horse with blue guilloche enamel background. The reverse side has Chinese characters and also reads: Bronze Galloping Horse 2nd Century Han Dynasty Wuwel, Kansu. In Chinese silk brocade box.
