FINE AND RARE AMERICAN FOLK ART CARVED AND PAINTED FIGURAL PIPE RACK TRADE SIGN, oak, single-sided relief-carved form depicting a stylized Native American in headdress with long-stem pipe. Retaining original wrought-iron hanging hook to reverse and outstanding original polychrome surface. Circa 1880. 25 1/2" HOA, 20 3/4" WOA.

Provenance:

Property from the estate of Charlie Casper, Pittsboro, NC.

Condition

Very good overall condition with minor scattered wear and discoloration. A few old age cracks with period iron strap repairs to reverse.
