PENNSYLVANIA AND OTHER AMERICAN COIN SILVER SPOONS AND SERVING UTENSILS, LOT OF 37, most pieces with fiddle handles, many with personalized engravings to handles, including a set of six tablespoons engraved "Blacknall" to handles by R. & W. Wilson of Philadelphia (active c. 1825-1846), a set of four thread fiddle handled teaspoons by Hildeburn & Bros. of Philadelphia (active 1849-1852), a shell sugar spoon by Watts & Harper of Philadelphia (active 1859-1862) with "Bender" engraving, a butter spreader with patterned hollow handle by Butler & McCarty of Philadelphia (active 1850-1868), a cream / sauce ladle by Gale, Wood & Hughes of New York City, NY (active 1834-1845), a dessert / soup spoon by Richard & White of New York City (active c. 1810), and a set of three demitasse / small teaspoons by Newell Matson of Louisburg, CT, Owego, NY, Painesville, OH, Milwaukee, WI, and Chicago, IL (active 1840-1887). Each marked. Total weight excluding butter spreader: 29.805 ozt. 19th century. 4 3/4" to 8 3/4" LOA.

Condition
Fair to very good overall condition with wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, bending, dents, and/or worn bowl tips; sugar spoon with two short splits to side edges of bowl near terminal of handle; butter spreader with a significant split along edge of handle at tip and having slight separation between the blade and handle; one Matson spoon with a repair to handle, one or a few other pieces with possible repairs.
